UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is comprised of seven individual emirates (cities): Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, and Umm al-Qaiwain. The UAE shares borders with Saudi Arabia and Oman, and has coastline on the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman.

The UAE is a dynamic and congenial blend of Asian, Arabic and Western culture. Women drive cars, the government promotes tourism, and the finest Western hotels serve food and alcohol from all over the world. You can hear the Muslim prayer call five times a day, and see beautiful mosques throughout the cities.

Employment Contracts
Individual contract can vary depending on the employers. However, generally contracts in the UAE are for one to two years, renewable by mutual agreement. Income earned while working in the UAE is tax-free. Vacation time is generous and exciting destinations in Europe, Africa, and Asia are nearby.

Benefits
Include tax-free income, and in most cases include free furnished and air-conditioned accommodation, medical coverage, generous vacation time and return airfare.

Social Life
Like anywhere, in many ways the social life is what you make of it. Recreational activities include shopping festivals; boat cruises; desert safaris; horse/camel racing; golf; sand-boarding, movie theatres, organized events; etc

Adult Education -There are an increasing number of colleges and universities in the UAE that have foreign connections, e.g. The American University in Sharjah . Establishment of the Knowledge Village and the Academic City ensures quality education to expatriates and locals. Children's Education - The children of expatriates attend local private schools (e.g. the American School of Dubai , the Abu Dhabi Grammar School (Canada) , The American International School in Abu Dhabi, etc.) or are sent to boarding school abroad.

Licensing/Registration requirements
