TIPS ON TELEPHONE INTERVIEW

Voice and pitch is critical a drop in pitch may indicate disapproval, always speak with up-tempo positive pitch voice.

Listening Skills
It is essential that you understand the question before answering. Never interrupt the interviewer, essentially his job is to control the interview and flow of the interview. It is likely that your interviewer comes from another country and would speak with a different accent. Listen carefully, but if you do not understand, don't be afraid to politely ask to repeat the question.

It can be a good thing to have bullet points on a piece of paper listing your achievements and strengths. Also have a copy of your CV in front of you.

Never react negatively to any questions even if it is not to your exact liking. Never give a negative reason to leave your current job or country.

Finally, thank the interviewer for their time. Encourage them to call again if they require further information. Express your enthusiasm for the position, and that you look forward to hearing from them.
